The Pouch

The front of the pouch, with eyes

This is a pouch i made in early 2026! I kinda manically got into sewing it after spending time at a festival and really appreciating how much I preferred keeping my miscellanious items lashed to my body, instead of losing them in pockets, or on the ground, or having to lug around a bad that I will inevitably lose on a dark dancefloor/ while intoxicated! I spent $0 on this bad, and challenged myself to only use materials and supplies I already had.

inside the pouch.

I sewed 90% of it by hand, and really enjoyed leaving it somewhat messy and with character! This was made out of the leg of some jeans I turned into jorts, and I was really plesantly suprised by how nice and workable denim was as a material. I didn't really have much of a plan, so I just sewed shut the bottom of the leg, and cut a slit in the middle, creating the main pocket, and sewed the bit above the slit into the "lid flap" (for want of a better term). I was pretty indecisive about if i'd just sew the top flap shut as one thick layer, but a friend convinced me to add a little pocket to it, which i secured with two buttons I found.

The back of the pouch, with beltloops

I added beltloops, and a thicker central loop for wearing it at the hip or anywhere on your belt! It also can be fitted to a bandolier strap or any kind of strap you'd like!

It's lined with velvet!!!

I lined it with some velvet to make it nice and soft inside. The velvet was a real bitch to sew to be quite honest, and probably needs a second go now i'm more familiar with machine sewing.
