University, Bookbinding, and polyrhythyms for daily use - 08/07/2026

Thankfully, an update has come sooner than 12 month from the last one. The past fortnight or so has been incredibly hectic! I had orientation week at Uni these past few days, although thankfully it wasn't terribly busy given I'm starting in semester 2. Outside of academics, I've mostly been relearning how to curate an offline music library so I can finally say goodbye to Spotify. I fixed up an iPod classic I was given by my grandmother with Rockbox, and have entirely filled it with music thanks to a program called Nicotine++. It's been really nice listening to music like i used to in highschool. I'm finally actually listening to albums the whole way through instead of skipping through songs and jumping between artists. Father John Misty and Uboa have been the main new tunes for me. Other than that, I got around to reading the first book in the Three Body Problem series, and loved it! I haven't read such good scifi in ages, and it was so captivating I could hardly put it down and read it over 3 days.
Other than consuming media, I also made an artbook to journal and draw in, you can read all about it here. You can even look at it! In pictures! Isn't the future neat! I also wrote a song about getting your tax return back, but that will take me a while to record and upload somewhere, so just imagine a song about recieving 642 dollars from the government for now and give me credit for it in your head.

it's been a while, huh - 24/06/2026

I'm not very good at this whole website business. I do my best, but alas, i'm not terribly good at making public facing post. What have I been up to over this past year? Well, a lot I guess. I've been really knuckling down with piano, reteaching myself to sew well, learning some Mandarin and getting into linux (not arch btw...). I'm enrolled into university for history finally. It's been around 10 years since i last tried to study, and I hope i'm in a lot better of a place now, and I hope I should actually be able to acomplish something, even if that's a degree that won't lead to in-field-employment. As for new updates to the website? well, I'll be adding a page for my projects, and figuring out how to make the home page a little easier to manage, rather than having to go in and edit the html every time I'd like to make an update like this. thank u for ur patience!

the return of the cowardly dog - 10/6/2025

These past few months I barely remembered I existed, let alone this website. In that time, I've not done terribly much, however I did aquire a fun new little toy, an R36H. It's basically a linux kernel handheld gaming device gizmo thingy. As of today, I've messed around with it a lot, and got a suprising amount working! I managed to find some ports for Balatro, Stardew Valley, and a romhack called Pokemon Unbound that looks really cool. I also fucked around a little with the boot logo, and made it my own.
Other than growing even more withdrawn from society, I've mostly just been playing the piano and weeping. The piano is going well, I'm getting faster and faster at sight learning chords and constructing melodies from memory. I'm pleased with this progress.
I'm in the process of adjusting to meds, and that's been a little rough. Anyway, that's about it really. Ideally I'll work more on this website in the coming weeks. Stay peeled for the inevitable overhaul.
